New Residents

Welcome to the City of Chardon! We're delighted that you've chosen to join our vibrant community. Chardon is a city rich in history and culture, and we hope you'll take full advantage of everything we have to offer. Our parks, including the historic public square are a great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors, and our diverse recreational programs provide activities for all ages. We also offer essential municipal services, including public safety, road maintenance, snow plowing, and water distribution and treatment. For more information we encourage you to explore our website, but to get you started, this page has some key information we think you will find helpful.

Making sure you are a resident

There are several area communities that use the Chardon (44024) zip code but only some of these addresses are actually in the City. Chardon residents have a 3 (three) digit house address (Ex.: 111 Water St.) not 5 digits. IF you have a five digit address you are probably a township resident, not a city resident. Just in case, you can verify your jurisdiction using the County Auditor's Geauga Real Link tool.

Not from Chardon? No worries! Use the Geauga County's communities page find your jurisdiction's contact information.
