Chardon Sharks

The Chardon Recreation Department is proud to offer a competitive youth summer swim team, The Chardon Sharks. The Sharks compete with approximately 100 swimmers annually. 

Team Qualifications

The team is open to youth swimmers age is 4 - 18 years old and they must be able to swim one length of back stroke and free style.

Practices and Meets

The sharks will hold a parent meeting informational session the week before the season starts to go over the summer schedule, practice times, and other important information. The following is general information about typical practice and meet information.

Practice

Practices are held Monday to Friday in the early morning (7 AM - 9:30 AM) or evenings (7 PM - 8 PM) at the Chardon Municipal Pool. Specific practices times by group/age may vary depending on scheduling. Team members will be notified of their specific practice times the week before the season starts. 

Meets

The competition season runs from June to July with meets held on Saturdays from 8 AM to noon. Championships are typically held in late July. To qualify for the Championships swimmers must compete in at least 3 regular season meets.
